What is an E-Bike?
E-Bikes are pedal-assist, so input to the pedals determines the level of assist. You can flatten hills and shorten distances with the Bosch Performance System and four levels of power support from Eco to Turbo mode. Multi-gear functionality lets you control output and battery life. No matter the terrian nor riding style, E-Bikes are there to lend a helping hand when needed.
Is an E-Bike like a motorcycle?
No, electric powered motorcycles use a throttle to engage the power. E-bikes are pedal-assist, so input to the pedals determines the level of assist. Riding an electric bike with pedal-assist is incredibly intuitive, and anyone who can ride a bike will immediately feel comfortable on one.
Whats the Warranty?
Like all bikes sold at Eddy's, the frame is covered by a limited lifetime warranty. Bosch offers a warranty of 2 years or 500 cycles, and Shimano offers a warranty of 2 years or 1,000 cycles for the battery.
Whats the range?
General range is 20-100 miles / 32-160 kilometers depending on power modes, terrain, and other riding conditions like load or wind. Bosch has a handy e-bike range calculator that will help you estimate range for specific riding conditions.
Is the battery waterproof?
Simply put... Yes.
Can I lock the battery?
Yes, the battery is locked to the bike and a key must be used to remove it.
