The Gan benefits greatly from trickle-down technology from Pinarello's top-tier frames. Made from T600 Carbon, the Gan GR-S Disk rides like a dream. All the requirements of a high-end frame are here, like fast aero tubing, internal cable routing for mechanical and electronic drivetrains, and an integrated, tapered head tube. And of course, the Pinarello feel and styling. The Gan GR-S Disk was intended for wide range use, from smooth and paved streets to gravel roads. Comfort was therefore the main objective of the project and Pinarello used the same technology found in the Dogma K8S, the bike that was developed with Team Sky on the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix. Pinarello's engineers integrated "Flexstays" technology, a flat and wide section that has a high absorption of vibrations in the vertical plane and torsional stiffness. The frame also features DSS1.0, the elastomeric suspension developed for Dogma K8S, allowing 10mm of travel to smooth out the ride. It all combines to create something that can't be qualified, you just have to ride one for yourself. In addition to disc brakes, the bike use Shimano's 12 x 100mm thru-axle on the front and 12 x 142mm on the back to obtain the optimum braking power and traction on any terrain. To top it off, the build includes a Shimano Ultegra groupset, Fulcrum wheels and legit MOst components. All this adds up to a quality ride with comfort, style, and value.
